First Visit - Free consultation
At your first visit you would meet Dr. Gupta or Dr. Eskandar. They will do a through evaluation and determine if you are a good candidate for Zircteeth. This evaluation will take in account the current situation of your teeth, your jaw bones and your general health. They will present you any other options available.
During this visit the financial coordinator will discuss treatment cost and go over all financial options.
Once it is determined that you are a good candidate, the Zircteeth® process will start. We will take a few measurements which include CAT scans and some models of your jaw.
At this visit the dental implant placement procedure takes place. Mild sedation will be provided to make the process as comfortable as possible. Thorough local anesthesia is achieved so the patient does not feel any discomfort during the procedure. The teeth are removed, and the implants are placed as needed. This includes placement of 4-6 dental implants on the upper jaw and 4-5 on the lower jaw. An option of deeper sedation by a licensed anesthesiologist is available, if desired, at an extra cost.
A functional temporary prosthesis will be provided at this stage. The type of temporary prosthesis is based on the strength of your bone and stability of the implants. If the bone is strong enough, then we will place immediate temporary bridges which are attached to the implants. In this case you leave with fixed teeth in a day! We put temporary bridges in most cases.
In case the bone was very soft and sufficient stability can not be achieved with the implants, immediate dentures are used as the temporary appliance. The dentures will look good and they are a temporary solution for a few months until the implants heal up.
Follow up visits
After about six months of healing from the implant placement, several appointments will be made at about 2-3 week intervals during which measurements will be made to make your final Zircteeth bridge. During these visits, you will have a choice to pick the color, shape and size of your new teeth.
Please note that the number of visits can vary depending of different patient factors.
